Each ALERT Cadet father would do well to work with his son on projects, assign to him
sections of the Phase booklet within the Handbook to be completed, and then check for
completion. While a dad is not required to complete the Handbooks himself, making time to do
any part of it will be a tremendous encouragement.
The father has total discretion as to the pace for working through the Handbooks, and he
makes the decision as to when his son has completed a requirement or project. This facilitates
the dad being able to make adjustments of the materials to meet specific physical or mental
challenges in his son’s life.
