Our annual New England Father and Son Service Camp will again be held at Fairwood Bible Institute (fairwoodbible.org) in Dublin, New Hampshire, on the north side of Mt. Monadnock. As usual, it will be held on the three days preceding Memorial Day, which are May 26-29. Camp starts with supper at 1830 hours on Thursday and ends with lunch on Sunday.
Our service project will likely be harvesting wood for heat: bucking, splitting, hauling, and stacking. The focus of our fellowship will continue to be putting relationships first and properly valuing the women whom God has placed in our lives.
Our time together will be filled with listening to the Holy Spirit, PT, Jodie runs, prayer, formations, group devotions, father and son debriefing, skill development, team building activities, meaningful meals with testimonies, room inspections, marching drill, campfires, and hiking Mt. Monadnock (with the option of alternative activities).
LTC’s to Sergeants will have a great opportunity to develop and use their leadership skills as they are given much of the responsibility for directing the activities that occupy the fathers and sons throughout each day.
We will be staying in rooms with private showers, and all mealtime food will be supplied. Note that the packing list will require neither a multi-day backpack nor any special uniform or equipment purchases.
The fee for this camp is $105 for dad plus $55 for each son, however, no one has permission to stay away from this camp due to finances. For scholarship contact CLt. Col. Doug Dagarin at [email protected] or 413-575-4560 before you register for the camp.
