SUMMARY:Eastern Region Father/Son Service Camp - North - New Hampshire
DESCRIPTION:Our annual New England Father and Son Service Camp will again be held at Fairwood Bible Institute (fairwoodbible.org) in Dublin\, New Hampshire\, on the north side of Mt. Monadnock.  As usual\, it will be held on the three days preceding Memorial Day\, which are May 25-28.  Camp starts with settling-in at 1600 hours\, with Color Guard practice at 1700 hours\, on Thursday\, and ends with lunch on Sunday. \nThe focus of our fellowship will be understanding more of our Father’s design for us as men and advancing the fulfillment of our identity in Jesus.  Our service project will likely be harvesting wood for heat: bucking\, splitting\, hauling\, and stacking. \nOur time together will be filled with listening to the Holy Spirit\, PT and/or Jodie run\, prayer\, formations\, group devotions\, father and son debriefing\, team building activities\, meaningful meals with testimonies\, room inspections\, marching drill\, campfires\, skill development\, and possibly hiking Mt. Monadnock (with the option of alternative activities).   We will likely be staying in rooms with private showers\, and all mealtime food will be supplied.  Note that the packing list will require neither a multi-day backpack nor any special uniform or equipment purchases. \nLTC’s to Sergeants will have a great opportunity to develop and use their leadership skills as they are given much of the responsibility for directing the activities that occupy the fathers and sons throughout each day. \nFor scholarship contact  Lt. Col. Doug Dagarin at dougdagarin@gmail.com or 413-575-4560 before you register for the camp.

SUMMARY:2022 Eastern Father/Son Service Camp Northern Area-New Hampshire
DESCRIPTION:Our annual New England Father and Son Service Camp will again be held at Fairwood Bible Institute (fairwoodbible.org) in Dublin\, New Hampshire\, on the north side of Mt. Monadnock.  As usual\, it will be held on the three days preceding Memorial Day\, which are May 26-29.  Camp starts with supper at 1830 hours on Thursday and ends with lunch on Sunday. \nOur service project will likely be harvesting wood for heat: bucking\, splitting\, hauling\, and stacking.  The focus of our fellowship will continue to be putting relationships first and properly valuing the women whom God has placed in our lives. \nOur time together will be filled with listening to the Holy Spirit\, PT\, Jodie runs\, prayer\, formations\, group devotions\, father and son debriefing\, skill development\, team building activities\, meaningful meals with testimonies\, room inspections\, marching drill\, campfires\, and hiking Mt. Monadnock (with the option of alternative activities). \nLTC’s to Sergeants will have a great opportunity to develop and use their leadership skills as they are given much of the responsibility for directing the activities that occupy the fathers and sons throughout each day. \nWe will be staying in rooms with private showers\, and all mealtime food will be supplied.  Note that the packing list will require neither a multi-day backpack nor any special uniform or equipment purchases. \nThe fee for this camp is $105 for dad plus $55 for each son\, however\, no one has permission to stay away from this camp due to finances.  For scholarship contact CLt. Col. Doug Dagarin at dougdagarin@gmail.com or 413-575-4560 before you register for the camp.

SUMMARY:2022 South Central Father/Son Canoe Camp
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 40 mile canoe trip down the Neches River\, located within the Big Thicket National Wildlife Preserve in East Texas. We will be camping on sandbars along the banks of the Neches River. We will leave from Spurger\, Texas\, early Thursday morning and take out 40 miles down river at Evadale\, Texas\, Saturday afternoon. The dates of this camp are March 24-26\, 2022. \nThis trip will be primitive camping for all three days and two nights. Everything you need (water\, food\, shelter\, bedding\, and gear) will be packed within and carried by each canoe\, with no access to vehicles\, stores\, or conventional restrooms. There will be special instructions available on suggested food and how to pack the canoe. Cell phone coverage will be spotty to non-existent\, but in the past there have been places with reception along the way to make calls\, there will be a provision for emergency messages. This trip is designed with the novice canoeist in mind\, with all 40 miles heading downstream\, the current pushing us along. The river is wide\, fairly straight (no tight turns)\, open (exposed to direct sun/rain)\, and has few obstacles. \nThe goal of this trip is to strengthen the bond between fathers and sons. There will be a speaker each night working toward that goal. Being on the river also facilitates this goal by removing the distractions of life. The bonding time will actually begin prior to the trip\, as fathers and sons spend time at home planning for the packing of food and gear needed in their canoe. \nThere will be no special gear needed outside of regular camping gear. Each family will be responsible for bringing and  cooking their own food with either a small stove or open camp fire. \nA lack of canoeing experience should not prevent anyone from making this trip.  This is not a difficult trip. The Houston unit has been making this same trip for years\, with sons of all ages. One of the men guiding the trip had been down this river 80 plus times. \nTexas state law requires a life vest to be worn. \nAt the end of the trip\, each father/son who has completed his Basic Training Manual will be awarded a Father/Son Camp ribbon or star. \nOption 1 \nTwo man canoe (father and one son) $195.00 This cost includes rental for duration of trip\, two paddles\, two life vest\, launch fee\, and father/son camp ribbon/star for father and one son. A small son could sit in the middle  but he will not have a seat\, paddle or life vest. \nOption 2   \nThree man canoe (father and two sons) $225.00  This cost includes rental for duration of trip\, three paddles\, three life vest\, launch fee\, and father/son camp ribbon/star for father and two sons.   If a son is younger than eight it is recommend they bring their own life vest. All the outfitter has is orange type life vest. \nOption 3 \n$30.00 if bringing your own canoe\, paddles\, and life jackets. Includes launch fee\, ribbon/star for father and one son. \nThis sign up for this trip will close March 4\, 2022.  The outfitter requires a 10 day cancellation notice.   For questions\, please contact C.Capt. Dan Schlichter at: texasten@reagan.com\, C 1Lt. Matt Adams  at: mattadams24@verizon.net or call the ALERT Cadet office. \n  \n
